Frequently Asked Questions
What does "No Negative Answers" do?
When enabled, any subtraction problem where the second number is larger than the first will have the two numbers swapped, so the answer is always zero or positive. This is appropriate for all grade levels that haven't yet learned negative numbers.
Can I mix addition and subtraction on the same sheet?
Yes — select "Mixed (addition & subtraction)" and the generator will randomly include both operation types. Each problem clearly shows either a + or − symbol.
How is the custom range different from the difficulty presets?
The Custom option lets you set any minimum and maximum value. For example, you could practice only facts involving numbers from 15 to 30, which is useful for targeting specific gaps in student knowledge.
