Why Can't I Open AVIF Files on My Computer?

AVIF is a newer format and Windows does not include an AVIF viewer by default. On Windows 10 and 11, you need to install the HEVC Video Extensions or a third-party viewer. macOS supports AVIF natively since macOS Ventura (13). iOS supports AVIF since iOS 16.
