Supports .avif files — batch convert multiple images at once
PNG is lossless — no quality setting needed. Every pixel is preserved exactly.
.avif images.PNG is a lossless format with universal support. Converting AVIF to PNG is useful when you need to:
Unlike AVIF→JPG conversion, AVIF→PNG introduces no additional quality loss — PNG stores all the decoded pixel data exactly.
Will the PNG be larger than the AVIF?
Yes, significantly. AVIF uses highly efficient lossy compression; PNG is lossless and stores all pixel data. A typical PNG will be 3–8× larger than the equivalent AVIF. This is normal and expected.
Are my files uploaded anywhere?
No. All conversion uses the browser's built-in AVIF decoder and Canvas API. Your files never leave your device.
My browser can't open the AVIF file — what should I try?
AVIF decoding requires a modern browser. Chrome 85+, Firefox 93+, and Safari 16+ all support AVIF. If you're on an older browser, try updating or switching to Chrome.
