Unique page sizes
| Page | Width | Height | Format |

Knowing a PDF's page count is surprisingly useful in many workflows. Email systems and document portals often have file size or page count limits. Print shops charge per page, so checking page count before sending to print can prevent billing surprises. Legal and academic submissions frequently require documents within a specified page range.
This tool also shows you the dimensions of each page, which matters when a document mixes different page sizes — for example, a report that includes full-bleed diagrams on landscape A3 pages alongside standard A4 portrait text pages.
| Name | Width × Height (mm) | Width × Height (pt) |
|---|---|---|
| A4 | 210 × 297 | 595 × 842 |
| A3 | 297 × 420 | 842 × 1191 |
| Letter | 216 × 279 | 612 × 792 |
| Legal | 216 × 356 | 612 × 1008 |
| Tabloid | 279 × 432 | 792 × 1224 |
PDF page sizes are stored internally in points (1 point = 1/72 inch). This tool converts to millimetres for readability.
Can I check multiple PDFs?
Yes — after reviewing results, click "Analyse another file" to load a new file. Files are processed one at a time.
Does this tool support password-protected PDFs?
PDFs protected with an owner password (restricting editing) can usually still be read. PDFs protected with a user password (required to open the file) cannot be processed without the password.
Why might the page count differ from what Adobe Reader shows?
Some PDFs contain hidden or suppressed pages that PDF viewers count differently. This tool counts the total number of page objects in the PDF's page tree, which matches what most viewers display.
Is the file size shown the original file size?
Yes — the size shown is the file size on disk as reported by your operating system, not a compressed or uncompressed size.
